こんなときの対処法

１．とにかくくっつく。南極のペンギンよろしく、とにかく密着して体温の低下を防ぐ。
　　体力がある人間が外側になり、ローテーションで交代する。
２．寝ない。寝ると体温が劇的に低下し、回復が難しくなる。ナイフで斜面の側壁に穴を掘るなどすればよい。
　　汗をかかないように注意。ただし、食料の残量に不安がある場合はこの限りではない。
３．２で掘った穴入る。かなり暖かい。
４．靴を脱ぐ。靴を脱いでタオルなどで捲く。このほうが体温を維持できる。
５．枯れ枝などがあれば、地面に並べてマットの代わりにする。大地との接触は体温を失う大きな原因。
６．騒がない、叫ばない。しかし励ましあうことは忘れない。人間は心が折れなければ意外と強い。
　　大抵の人間は３～４週間くらい食べなくても死なない。重要なのは、そのくらいでは死なないということを知っておくこと。

乾燥した替えの下着、寝袋、コンロ、水・食料、そして肉厚で中型のシースナイフ一本は、必ず個々人が携行すべき。
非常事態では緊急事態で役に立つ道具をしっかりと装備していることが、精神的な支えになる。
それから炎には人の心を奮い立たせる不思議な心理的効果があるので、とにかく非常事態には火をたくこと。
当然後始末には気をつけて。
